Reflection.

I cannot believe that my first semester at City College is coming to an end. Time sure flies fast. During these little more than three months, I learned many things, especially in this class. Being English my third language, the readings you assigned taught me how to approach assignments and write papers in the best way possible, without restraining my creativity. Also, I should not be afraid to ask questions in class, regardless of my classmates’ thoughts. This course made me a little more confident in my writing and more attentive to analysis. I cannot express how grateful I am for being able to attend this class. Now I feel better knowing that I am not the only one facing these problems because these students and I can relate to working together to improve each other by giving feedback, suggestions, making comments, etc.

I was not sure how I could change, both as a student and as a person, in three months… but looking back, now I realize how different I am from the beginning. As a student, I better understand my role and further improved my skills in writing. As a person, I am not afraid to ask a question or help if needed. After all, I was able to overcome the challenges posed by this class with good results. There is still a long way for me to get close to a person who has been living in the United States for way longer than me in level, but I will do my best to keep learning and apply what I apprehended. I thank my professors for making me realize that I should be proud of myself for my achievements.
